So much has happened since 1978. And everything was focused on a single aim: creating tiny corner of paradise in the most authentic part of Tuscany, to be shared with as many people as possible.
The story of this place began way back in 1978, when grandpa Uliano bought an old farmhouse with an annexed haybarn. He worked endlessly, completely renovating the apartments in the main building and most of the garden. His dream was to create a tiny corner of paradise in the middle of the countryside, where his family could live in peace and quiet, far away from the chaos and smog of the cities.
In 1989, his sons Marco and Massimo also set to work to make Grandpa Uliano’s dream come true and, in 2011, they decided to make the main house a zero-impact structure, in keeping with their principles and ideals. They added photovoltaic panels and aerothermal heat pumps and insulated the walls and roof to prevent heat dispersion. In 2012, work began on the refurbishment of the haybarn, with a view to defending nature and the surrounding environment.
At last, in 2017, Grandpa Uliano’s dream came true and the farmhouse was fully renovated and modernised. But why stop there? Why not share the beauty of this place and Grandpa Uliano’s dream with the rest of the world? And so it was that, in 2018, Le Lavande, a unique holiday home in the Chianti hills, was born. Today Paola, Massimo, Marco and little Camilla are ready to welcome you into this mini paradise, with joy, simplicity and courtesy, happy to take you on an exploration of the enchanting place which is Tuscany! And the surprise in our Easter Egg in 2019 will be an outdoor swimming pool heated with renewable energy.
